Hi, I'm Katie! I founded Wild Fern Images in 2019, fueled by my love of photography and the ability to freeze life's most treasured moments.
My vibe is earthy, natural, free-spirited and genuine. Inspired by bare feet pattering through the dirt, fields of wildflowers blowing in the breeze, the summertime glow of hazy light filtering through the trees, and wild, unrestrained emotion, I deliver galleries flooded with images you’ll adore. And whether you’re cuddled up at home or playing under the wide turquoise sky, I’ll create a relaxing atmosphere that inspires genuine connection

Random facts about me......
- rooted in faith
- mom to three gorgeous daughters, Gigi to three adorable grand babies
- tea addict. I have a massive cabinet devoted to (and overflowing with) every flavor of tea imaginable.
- 'The Office' junkie. I’ve watched all seasons an embarrassing number of times. I even have my own trivia team, "The Finer Things Club", and we've taken first place many times.
- lover of thrifting + decorating my home to be my cozy sanctuary
- fall + winter are my faves. I do NOT enjoy being hot (or even warm for that matter. I like it COLD). Pretty certain I belong in the North Pole.
- in 2023, I left the corporate marketing world to focus full-time on photography.
- obsessed with music - especially indie folk, classical, and praise/worship. I'm usually editing photos to Bon Iver, Lord Huron, Brandon Lake, Mt. Wolf, or Beethoven It keeps me grounded and connected.

Hi, I'm Avery! I have always loved photography and I love capturing special moments for people to cherish. Katie is my mom (yes, we are a dynamic mother-daughter duo!) and she kinda tossed me into weddings back in July of 2022 and I've been working with her since. I am the second shooter for all Wild Fern weddings, and I absolutely love it. My favorite part is the creative aspect, the details, and the candid moments I get to capture. With weddings I have the unique opportunity to add touches of each couple to their gallery and showcase their love story in a meaningful way. I love helping brides feel comfortable in front of the camera on their special day.
In my spare time, I love adventuring with my little family and taking road trips to discover new places. We LOVE the outdoors, camping, and playing in rivers and creeks. I am a mom to a 3 year old so she keeps my spare time very busy!
Random facts about me.......
- I am a SAHM to an adorable little girl, Cora, who is my whole world.
- I had a photography page on IG waaaay back in 2015
- I have 2 doggos, Sadie and Ellie
- I'm 23 but look MUCH younger, so people are often confused at weddings when I talk about my child. LOL
- I love cleaning and decorating my home
- When I'm not photographing weddings, you can find me at the river or spending time at home with my daughter + boyfriend.
